Completion Requirements
Electrical contractors must complete twenty-four credit hours per triennial renewal period of continuing education course(s), including at least eight hours of instruction on the current National Electrical Code changes.
Beginning January 1, 2005, four hours of the required continuing education must be on the currently adopted chapter 19.28 RCW and its related WAC(s).
Courses must be pre-approved by the Department. RedVector has no approved courses at this time.

Renewal occurs on a triennial basis determined by the registrant’s date of birth, and must be renewed before the date
of birth.

Non-Compliance Penalties:
An individual who has not completed the required hours of continuing education can renew a certificate of competency if the individual applies for renewal before the certificate of competency expires and pays the appropriate renewal fee. However, the certificate of competency will be placed in an inactive status. The inactive certificate of competency will be returned to current status upon validation, by the department, of the required continuing education.
