Completion Requirements
Each licensee shall complete (8) hours of continuing education, approved by the board, prior to renewal of the license for the next year.
The Kentucky Board of HVAC Contractors has a strict pre-approval process and DOES NOT ALLOW ANY ONLINE courses to satisfy continuing education requirements at this time.

Application for renewal or reactivation of a licensed HVAC contractor shall be denied if the applicant fails to comply with the continuing education requirements established.

Exceptions or exemptions:
Licensees which have been placed in inactive status are exempt from annual renewal. They shall be reactivated upon payment of a renewal fee for the year reactivated, the reactivation fee and compliance with continuing education requirements for each year of inactive status.
