Continuing Education Requirements
30 PDH per biennial renewal period (*due 12/31 – even years for last names A-L; odd years for last names M-Z)
- Activities must maintain, improve, or expand technical professional skills and knowledge obtained before initial licensure or develop new and relevant technical professional skills and knowledge.
- Activities include: professional or technical presentations at meetings, conventions or conferences; in-house programs sponsored by corporations or other organizations; seminars, tutorials, short courses, correspondence courses, televised courses or video- taped courses; teaching; published papers, articles or books; actively participating in a technical profession society or organization; college sponsored courses; courses that award CEUs

Exceptions and Exemptions
The law does not prohibit the practice of site development planning, in accordance with the practice of architecture, or the practice of engineering.
- Any individual engaged in the occupation of growing and marketing nursery
stock using the title nurseryman, landscape nurseryman or gardener and
nurserymen engaged in preparing and executing planting plans.
- Any individual planning or planting his/her own property.
- An employee or a subordinate of a licensed person if such work does not
include final designs or decisions, responsible charge of design or supervision
and is done under the direct responsibility and supervision of a licensedperson.
- Persons who are not residents of and have not established a place of business
in this state, who are acting as consulting associates of persons licensed under
the provisions of this act and who are legally qualified for such professional service
in his or her own state or country.
Reciprocity
Deems compliance if the licensee resides in another state having CE requirements and meets those requirements.
