Title/Practice Act Summary
Continuing Education Requirements
In the 2003 legislative session, legislation was enacted to, among other things, allow the board to adopt CE requirements.
Rules have not yet been promulgated.
Exceptions and Exemptions
The law does not apply to architects, professional engineers, geologists and land surveyors licensed to practice in their respective professions.
Landscape architecture does not include:
- the design of structures or facilities with separate and self-contained purposes for
habitation or industry, such as are ordinarily included in the practice of engineering
or architecture; and
- the making of cadastral surveys or final
land plats for official recording orapproval.
- employees of landscape architects who are acting under the instruction,
control or supervision of their employers.
- any horticulturist, nurseryman or landscape nurseryman, gardener, landscape
gardener, landscape designer,
