Completion Requirements
Attention Georgia Contractors: Georgia currently has a very restrictive policy regarding continuing education. All continuing education courses must be conducted by an institute of higher education, vocational, technical school, trade, technical, or professional organization, or institute under the State Board of Technical and Adult Education.
An applicant for renewal of a conditioned air contractor license, master and journeyman plumbers contractor license, or electrical contractor license is required to complete four (4) hours of continuing education.
Renewal Dates
Renewal for electrical licenses occurs June 30 of even numbered years.
Renewal for electrical (Low Voltage) licenses occurs August 31 of odd numbered years.
Renewal for conditioned air licenses occurs November 30 of odd numbered years.
Renewal for plumbing licenses occurs November 30 of even numbered years.
Renewal for utility licenses occurs April 30 of odd numbered years.

Continuing education courses shall be in the areas related to conditioned air contracting concerning safety, technological advances, business management, or government regulations.
Proof of Compliance:
Licensees shall maintain, for at least five years, after completion of the course or courses, records confirming attendance and completion of continuing education courses, including the following information:
(1) School, company or organization teaching the course
(2) Title of the course
(3) Location and date of the course
(4) Course outline or topics covered
(5) Hours of instruction
(6) Documentation of attendance and satisfactory completion
Non-Compliance Penalties:
License shall not be renewed.
